Faraday Center
Faraday Center is named for Michael Faraday, considered to be one of the best experimentalists in the history of science, and is also home to Promega research and development scientists in the areas of Genetic Identity and Nucleic Acid Amplification (Nucleic Acid Technologies). Promega moved into the facility, which had previously been Bjorksten Research Labs, in 1984 after growing out of two smaller labs nearby. The facility also served as a business incubator for a number of years in the 1990’s and was occupied by a number of small companies, including Third Wave Technologies.
