Upper Lab
The Upper Lab is where Promega got its start. In 1979, Promega founder Bill Linton moved into the small cinderblock building that was once used by Bjorksten Labs. Linton, along with his first employee Lois Wilson, painted, put down a floor and assembled a lab with surplus furniture and equipment. At first, production, dispensing of product, and shipping activities all occurred in the small space. Eventually, production moved down the hill to the nearby Lower Lab while The Dome housed the first administrative offices.
