Braman Family Media Center
The Braman Family Media Center was completed and dedicated in November of 2006. This state of the art library includes 9,000 volumes, 30 networked computer workstations, over 20 electronic databases, 20 laptops, 2 printers, 1 color printer, 3 scanners and a photocopy machine. The media room in the library is used by various academic classes throughout the day to work on laptops or to conduct student presentations; it is equipped with a whiteboard as well as a Promethean ActivBoard. All sixth graders take a Library Skills class during their grade level rotation. It introduces them to the Braman Family Media Center teaching them to use the computers, access the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC), navigate electronic databases, and efficiently locate books and other library materials. Students are also taught to master research skills critical to success in higher education. Students may work in the Media Center Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
