Volunteering

Community service is an important component of campus life at UMHB. Each fall’s Welcome Week activities include a day of service when the new freshmen step out into surrounding communities to lend a hand at churches and nonprofit agencies throughout Central Texas. As the year progresses, the athletic teams and many special interest groups organize special events to benefit local food pantries, free clinics, and other social service agencies, and Baptist Student Ministries sponsors a full calendar of activities for students who want to find a way to help those who need a helping hand.
