The society was founded in 1890 is now composed of 177,000 female members who can trace their descent from a patriot of the American Revolution.

DAR?s DC headquarters houses Constitution Hall, which is Washington?s largest concert hall and a premier venue for a wide variety of performing arts. The Hall welcomes world-class acts throughout the year, and provides a phenomenal platform for students to both appreciate the arts and learn about event production and management.
