Our students know that before they learn to run the world, they have to learn how the world is run. One of the most iconic ways to gain this experience in DC is by interning on Capitol Hill. GW?s physical proximity and longstanding connections with the Hill enable many students ? both undergraduate and graduate ? to learn about the law-making process first-hand. Each year the halls of the Congress and Senate office buildings surrounding the Capitol bustle with lawmakers from all states and districts, their staffers and motivated interns learning the political process from the inside out ? GW students among them.
