The College of Professional Studies (CPS) is specially designed for those who wish to distinguish themselves in their professions, either as they enhance their professional skills or as they change careers.

CPS programs draw from an array of academic disciplines and are conveniently delivered in flexible formats: face-to-face at multiple locations, online or a blend of both. Through important relationships in the Washington, DC area and around the world, CPS students learn from leading experts and enjoy unique educational opportunities. In-person classes are held in the Virginia Science and Technology Campus (Exploration Hall, Innovation Hall and Enterprise Hall), the Graduate Education Center in Arlington, the Graduate Education Center in Alexandria, and in the Media and Public Affairs Building located in the university's Foggy Bottom campus.
