The Barry M. Goldwater Undergraduate Scholarship recognizes sophomores or juniors who have outstanding potential and intend to pursue research careers in mathematics, the natural sciences or engineering. 2013 winner Aparna Sajja spent the previous summer as a research intern at the National Institutes of Health?s Heart, Lung and Blood Institute.
