Veterans Memorial Park was moved to its current location in front of Gelman Library in 2013. The move to this central spot allows the GW community to pay tribute to military service members and veterans on a daily basis. The park features a wall displaying the park name, as well as insignias for all five branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. The park and the wall are gifts funded by GW Board of Trustees member Mark Shenkman, M.B.A. ?67, a veteran of the U.S. Army.
