Dean's Welcome Dr. Darrell G. Watson, Ph.D. Welcome to the website for the College of Sciences of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Our college contains the Department of Biology, the Department of Chemistry & Geology, the Department of Computer Sciences, the Department of Mathematics & Physics, the Department of Psychology & Counseling, and the Department of Social Work, Sociology, & Criminal Justice. It is our responsibility and privilege to teach UMHB students core courses such as: biology, chemistry, computer science, geology, mathematics, and physics. The college offers both Bachelors of Arts and Bachelors of Science degrees. A total of fourteen different majors are offered in the college. Mission The College of Sciences is an integral part of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and operates in accordance with the overall mission of the University. The college seeks to provide a quality of higher education for qualified students from diverse geographic, ethnic, socioeconomic and religious backgrounds as they prepare for careers and community service. Within a Christian environment, students are assisted in preparations for vocational or professional careers or graduate studies. The ultimate objective of this educational experience is to develop motivated, informed, inquisitive, and dedicated individuals who will be a credit to themselves, to their faith, and to society at large.
